Elliot Maginot - Press Shot

PAROLES

Everything.in.between.

Really, who’s to say you ought to go down?
You took the fight like a blind man.
In a moment you’ll be safe and sound
Then you might understand

I could go on forever more
I could never save your life
I could be fun till you’re bored
I could never save your life

Max Henry: Synth

Monsters at war

You were right: something is so wrong.
This is only a war, we’ll never win,
cause we will always be as we were made:
fragile, weak and small and overrated,
most of the time.

So don’t count on me to carry you,
the day your legs will fail you,
I will walk and leave you behind.

And in the morning waking hours,
when the frightening times are over,
don’t be fooled.

And when the wind blows soft and warm
and when the summer casts its charms,
oh don’t be fooled.
Cause if ever you should slow me down,
I won’t wait for you,

no I will walk and leave you behind.
And when the wind blows soft and warm
and when the summer casts its charms,
oh don’t be fooled.

Cause if ever you should slow me down,
I won’t wait for you,
no I will walk and leave you behind.

Cause this is more than I can take.
I hope you’ll be swallowed by the monsters you create.

And when the wind will become a storm
and when your shelter will be torn,
don’t look for me.
Because I won’t remember you,
at least I’ll do my best not to.
Don’t look for me.

But if ever I should slip and fall,
I’ll beg for you to stay.
Hope you won’t walk and leave me behind.

Cause this is more than I can take.
I hope you’ll be swallowed by the monsters you create.

Djibril

Keep your hands where I can see ‘em
If only distance makes you love
If what you need is a reflection
Because you’re scared of dying alone

You only speak in quotes and lines
just dreaming of some northern country
You say you live an awkward life
Which doesn’t seem a life to me

You may have caged yourself and thrown away the key
It doesn’t make you less of who you’ve grown to be

Yeah you have learned the words but don’t know what they mean
You’ll have to do this on your own.

Keep your hands where I can see ‘em
If only distance makes you be
If what you need is some perfection
You won’t get anything from me

You may have caged yourself and thrown away the key
It doesn’t make you less of who you’ve grown to be

Yeah you have learned the words but don’t know what they mean
You’ll have to do this on your own.

Bell

One day I will realize
but right now it’s not up to me
One day I’ll look back and smile
but at the moment I’m too close to see

That every time we meet, it’s like a bomb I must defuse
Every time we meet, both of us are leaving bruised

Someday you’ll sleep in my room
We’ll talk all night and then you’ll go away
But it’s four in the morning and soon
there won’t be much more left to say

And every time you leave, it’s like a hole that I must fill
Every time you leave my other life gets real.

In ten years, if you’re too scared to think,
I might try to lead you in the right path
But right now I’m too close to sinking
and no one in this world could make me do that.

Cause every time we touch I know an angel is passing
And in his holy hands there’s a bell that is ringing..

Pietro Amato: French horn

Still Alive

Everything will be alright if you just do as I say
You got a heart of gold, don’t ever let it get in the way
I’d take the beating if I could be sure you’d walk out alive
You are the only rule that I am sure to never live by

Take your time and linger on, I beg you do what you can
All I ever wanted all I ever want is to be part of the trend
Here’s a cold dark night, here’s a morning, here’s a bottle
When the saving light will be taken here’s a bottom

Just count me in if you want out
Let me provide the lack of faith
For every pattern in the making
For every humble way to leave

Oh God! Might it be the time to go
Can’t you know a lie, can’t you know a lie
when you see one
Are you still alive, are you still alive my love?

Just count me in if you want out
Let me provide the lack of faith
For every pattern in the making
For every humble way to leave

Jepeto

You might dress up in black and stand where the sun don’t shine,
but like a cat I wear my night vision all the time,
You can hide into a shell and wait for the risin’ tide,
saying, all is well except I’m drowning from inside

How long will you try to be a shooting star?
The lights are off and now it’s time to go.
But it’s not like it’s the first time you
say it’s the last…

You keep on adding on more layers on your back
getting ready for the day you’ll be under attack
But if you wanna know, I think you got it wrong,
And in a while or so, the feeling will be gone.

And how many more years before you change your line,
I cannot afford to get tired of you.
Your days are getting long but trust me, so are mine.
But I can fake it if you want me to…

Some day we’ll wake up and we’ll be old and wise,
and we will talk about the good old days
It might takes some time before you realize,
that being loud is not the only way to live,
that being loud is not the only way…

Blood is a gift ‘til it’s not

Queen C got back from a ghost town
and now she won’t even look in my eyes
She says “from now this can only go down”
oh she looks like she ain’t scared to die
She’s looking for something to kill for
She’s looking for something to kill

Queen C is drunk in my bed
she is speaking in tongues with the devil
I can see her just fighting like hell
She says “don’t you get caught in the middle”
“see you’re just like me in a way”
I know I’m just like her in a way

You can keep up forever
try to dig out the truth
you can stay til I’m better
God I hope that you’ll do
you’re best to stay broken
cause I’m still undecided
whether my heart was taken
or was it already dead, from the start

Queen C she won’t even mention
that she’s been betrayed by her friends
She’s addicted to love and redemption
oh she won’t even care for revenge
Cause they all made a deal with the darkness
They all made a deal in the dark

Queen C is afraid of her brother
she says “blood is a gift ‘til it’s not
I will deal with the fact you got stronger
If you deal with the fact I did not
I don’t blame you for trying to save me I don’t blame you but no one can save…”

You can keep up forever
try to dig out the truth
you can stay til I’m better
God I hope that you’ll do
your best to stay broken
cause I’m still undecided
whether my heart was taken
or was it already dead, from the start

...and stand your ground

Won’t you come back upon the earth
And stand your ground
you’re still looking for a man
that won’t be found

I know you will come back to me
You’ll have your speech
But don’t you know it’s already
way out of reach

You’ve been misled by your eyes
you’re not a prey
You’re a hunter in disguise
but you’ll have your day

My back it hurts from reaching down
you are a stone
hold on to me and we’ll both drown
I’m already drenched to the bone

Take your head out of the sand and rub your eyes
Be the pawn you ought to be
You are from another time
you’re from another world
that I don’t want to live in

Survival

Be your own memory
I was made to be forgotten
Calm down what is your hurry?
You’re over thinking again

The season’s changed overnight
you’re panting seeds in the snow
I’m staying out of the light now
I’m staying out of the road again

This is just survival mode

You’re living two lives ahead
and I’m still learning to stand
I’m making war from my bed
and I don’t plan to be taken alive this time
The word is out on the streets
That I came down on you like some raging thunder
I’m staying out of your reach
cause I don’t plan to go under again

This is just survival mode
They will keep on shooting if you don’t stay down
They will smell the blood and come from all around
This is just survival mode
And I don’t plan to be taken alive this time

Young/Old

I’ll be back by the evening with something to stand upon
Tell me what am I missing, tell me what’s going on
they’re getting closer to my door
And I’m afraid if they keep coming I won’t be able to hold on no more

Could you tell me once again
what’s the part of the plan
you couldn’t figure out on your own

I could really use some time
to go out of my mind
and save my inner child while I can

Don’t do as I have done
cause the son of God wasn’t born until he died
You should’ve learned to run
but now you’re stuck here
living someone else’s life

It probably makes no difference at all
but if I have to walk beside these cowards then I swear I’d much rather crawl…

Could you tell me once again
what’s the part of the plan
you couldn’t figure out on your own

I could really use some time
to go out of my mind
And save my inner child while I can

Really, who’s to say you ought to go down?
You took the fight like a blind man.
In a moment you’ll be safe and sound
Then you might understand

I could go on forever more
I could never save your life
I could be fun till you’re bored
I could never save your life

I’m just looking to be more afraid

Stay where you are
At the end of the day
There’s no real good reason to be sane

Be what you are
like there’s no one around
let bygones be so
let it die

I got nothing to say
where’s my pride? Anyway,
I ain’t looking to be more alive
Got a head full of crimes,
such a meaningless sign
I’m just looking to be more afraid.

You never need it
until you do
Don’t wanna know it
but if only I knew
You never need it
until you do

I got nothing to say
where’s my pride? Anyway,
I ain’t looking to be more alive
Got a head full of crimes,
such a meaningless sign
I’m just looking to be more afraid.

Stay where you are
At the end of the day
There’s no real good reason to be sane
